Consumerhelp.ie Competition Terms and Conditions 

1. To enter any of the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission's competitions, you must be: (a) a resident in the Republic of Ireland; and (b) 16 years old or over at the time of entry.

2. Competitions are not open to employees of the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission or their family members, employees on secondment to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission or their family members, at the time of entry or any suppliers with contracts in place at the time of entry.

3. No purchase necessary.

4. Only one entry per person.

5. You must enter each competition in the way stipulated – for example, entries received by email or by post for a Facebook competition will not be accepted.

6. Sending an e-mail is not proof that we have received your entry. No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are lost or delayed, or which are not received for any reason.  

7. The winners will be selected by the judges. In certain circumstances, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission may decide to award a shared prize between a number of winners. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

8. The closing date is as specified in each competition and the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission reserves the right to amend the competition end date at any time.

9. If you win a competition, we will notify you as outlined in each competition.

10. By entering the competition the winner agrees to have their name published on our websites and social media channels.

11. By entering the competition the winner agrees to participate in such reasonable promotional activity as the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission may require.

12. The prize will not be transferable to another person.

13. No part of a prize is exchangeable for cash or any other prize.

14. If an advertised prize is not available, we reserve the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.

15. Incorrectly completed entries will be disqualified and removed from public view.

16. The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission reserves the right for good and sufficient reason to disqualify any entrant.

18. Some of our competitions use Facebook and may require you to access a third party Facebook approved app. This app may have access to your Facebook details and may post to your wall. You will be asked to agree to this before proceeding. The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission is not responsible for any data protection compliance measures or issues that may be associated with your entry to the competition.

19. The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, for good and sufficient reason, reserves the right to amend these rules at any time. The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission may also create rules which will apply to a specific competition only. If we do this we will publish the amended competition rules and/or specific competition rules on the relevant competition page.

20. The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission will endeavour to dispatch prizes to the respective winners within a month of the competition end date.
